MapAlerter is used by 23 Irish local authorities. This free service allows you to sign up and receive SMS text messages, emails and app notifications for local Council issues that might affect you. Each alert is localised so is targeted and relevant. The majority of alerts issued by MapAlerter include road works/diversions, planning activity, severe weather and floods, water disruptions, boil water notices, and more.
The following Irish Councils use MapAlerter. Some Councils have opted out of certain categories so check the itemised list in the footer of this page.Tap over a Council name to view the alerts that are available for that location.If your Council is not listed above, then they are not using MapAlerter for their public-facing communications.
