Road resurfacing R585 / R590 at Crookstown

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

R-585-R590 at Crookstown, Co Cork

Period of Closure

From 1900hrs to 0600hrs (Nightly Closure) from Monday 8^th September, 2025 to Friday, 19^th September, 2025.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate road resurfacing.

Alternative Routes

Eastbound Cars and Light Vehicles: At Crookstown take the R-590 east to N22 at Castlemore Cross. Follow the N22 west to R-585 at Stage Cross.

Eastbound HGV's: At Glaun, follow the R-587 north to Toonsbridge and take the R-584 east to Hartnetts Cross and Coolcower. Follow the N22 east to Crookstown.

The stated diversion is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Carranna agus Feithiclí Éadroma atá ag dul Soir: Tóg an R-590 soir ag an mBaile Gallda go dtí an N22 ag Castlemore Cross. Lean an N22 siar go dtí an R-585 ag Stage Cross.

HGVanna atá ag dul Soir: Ag an nGleann, lean an R-587 ó thuaidh chomh fada le Droichead na Toinne agus tóg an R-584 soir go dtí Crois Uí Airtnéada agus Cúil Chomhair. Lean an N22 soir go dtí an Baile Gallda.
